Guide to This Site

This site has four main areas

• HOME — This section introduces PLAN, the first nonprofit in Canada to conduct a social audit. It provides an Executive Summary along with PLAN Highlights. "Your Views Count!" offers the reader an opportunity for feedback.
  
  
• PROCESS — This section describes the Social Audit and the Social Audit Cycle. Included here are details on the Steering Committee, the Stakeholders and the Framework. For easy reference The Glossary of Terms is located here as well.
  
  
• FINDINGS — This is where you will find the foundation of PLAN's social audit framework — the nine Key Elements. Also located here are the Targets for 2004 and the Independent Reviewer's Report.
  
  
• DIALOGUE — Conducting a social audit is all about dialogue. In this section you will find a description of the Stakeholder Focus Groups and the summary of each of the four focus groups: People at the Centre of Networks, Lifetime Members, Facilitators and Staff. The Demographics of the four stakeholder group surveys are also found here.

By navigating through these four sections, we hope to present a concise and user-friendly model of our Social Audit — from why we conducted the audit to what we discovered and how we will use this information. The Circle of Friends book offers an ongoing opportunity for those who make a bequest to PLAN to articulate a permanent public statement about the meaning of their relative's life and their dreams for the future for people with disabilities.
