Glossary of Terms

Accountability Report is the written summary that measures the social benefits of PLAN's work from April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2002.

Aspects are what is measured.

Associates are individuals who have joined PLAN and receive a copy of A Good Life, PLANfacts quarterly newsletters and notice of PLAN workshops.

Consultation Based Indicators are obtained through survey or interviews.

Data Based Indicators are obtained through information already available through various documentation, i.e. reports and records.

Facilitators are the people PLAN hires to build the network.

Indicators are how we measure our performance related to the Key Elements. Indicators tell us what we are measuring using either Consultation Based Indicators or Data Based Indicators.

Key Elements are the attributes and activities that together form the essence of PLAN.

Lifetime Members are people who have joined PLAN as lifetime members.

Network is a circle of friends and family who meet regularly in support of an individual with a disability.

Network Members are people who participate in an individual's network.

People at the Centre are people around whom the network is built.

Social Audit measures the social benefits of an organization.

Stakeholders are all of the various people involved in any way
with PLAN.

Subscribers are individuals who have inquired about PLAN services and receive copies of PLANfacts newsletter.
