We are proud to be the first non-profit organization in Canada to conduct and complete a social audit. In January of 2001a Social Audit Project Steering Committee was assembled.

The dedicated members of PLAN's Social Audit Steering Committee are:

Jack Collins, PLAN Lifetime Member and Steering Committee Chair
Vickie Cammack, Director of PLAN Institute for Citizenship & Disability
Joan Lawrence, PLAN Lifetime Member and Past President
Alexis Pidlisecky, PLAN Director of Operations
Nancy Ford, PLAN Mentor, and Facilitator
Deborah Mayotte, PLAN accountant
Sandra Rosang, PLAN Lifetime Member, Van City

Susan Todd is the External Verifier for PLAN's Social Audit. Her role was to validate the process and the findings of the audit. Susan is a certified social auditor accredited by the Institute of Ethical and Social Accountability.

The success of the audit has depended upon the commitment of those at the steering committee level. Interest in the process and its outcomes and in terms of the time and effort it has taken to conduct the audit and to produce the final report speaks to both the value of the audit and the commitment of the steering committee to the value of the social audit process.
